Abbey Falls is in Kodagu, in the Western Ghats in Karnataka. It is located 8 km from the Madikeri, 122 km from Mysore, 144 km from Mangalore and 268 km from Bangalore. The river is part of the early reaches of the river Kaveri. Flow is much higher during the monsoon season.

Raja’s Seat, meaning "Seat of the Kings," is a scenic spot in Madikeri where Coorg’s rulers once admired the view. Known for its refreshing ambiance, it offers breathtaking sunrise and sunset vistas.

The Tibetan settlement at Bylakuppe, near Kushalnagar, is one of India's largest and the second largest outside Tibet. Kaveri Nisargadhama, a 25-acre river island near Kushalnagar, is covered with bamboo, teak, and sandalwood trees. Home to peacocks, deer, monkeys, and elephants, it features a deer park, orchidarium, children’s park, and a hanging bridge.
