Visit three unique makgeolli restaurants on a three-hour traditional Korean alcohol tasting immersion, as sool specialist Julia takes you around Insa-dong. Hop over to a Hanok, or Korean traditional house, to kick start your tour with a wide range of makgeolli sourced from around Korea.
At a secret location unfamiliar even to locals, you'll sample some handcrafted makgeolli straight from the hands of the brewer. Have your fill of her delicious brew and some home-cooked dishes, before heading on to your last destination. Pull up stools at a dimly lit tavern with tin kettles filled with makgeolli and experience the revelry of tavern-style drinking.

This was one of the highlight for our trip and glad we decided to do it. The only experience we had with makgeolli beforehand was the commercial ones which is sold in Singapore. Nothing wrong with that but it was only through this tasting tour we discover so much more about it. From the process to the home brewery, it was an eye opener. Plus we get to visit bars which we would not have thought of entering. Strongly recommend to anyone who like to do something from the norm in Korea.
