To ensure you have a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable visit, please carefully read the following notices before purchasing tickets. Purchasing a ticket signifies that you fully understand and agree to comply with the following terms:
The following items are prohibited from being brought into the ancient town:
•All types of flammable, explosive materials and any dangerous items harmful to public safety;
•Chewing gum;
•All types of tour guide loudspeakers and amplification devices;
•Handcarts or any wheeled transport (excluding luggage, strollers, and wheelchairs);
•Pets (excluding service animals);
•Balance bikes, electric scooters.
The following activities are prohibited:
•Selling any goods or services, or holding exhibitions without permission;
•Swimming in any of the town's waterways, unauthorized water activities, or fishing in public waters;
•Parades, speeches, or public gatherings without permission;
•Posting or distributing printed materials or other promotional items;
•Displaying any flags, banners, or emblems without permission;
•Photography, videography, sound recording, aerial photography, or any form of recording, broadcasting, or transmission beyond normal sightseeing purposes without permission. This includes, but is not limited to, using professional photography/videography equipment, props, and non-everyday attire for shooting (for needs such as wedding photography, an application must first be submitted to the scenic area management. Upon approval, a shooting agreement must be signed, relevant fees paid, and activities conducted in designated areas according to the agreement and regulations. It is advisable to consult with the scenic area management beforehand);
•Using tripods for photography on bridges or in narrow streets during peak visitor flow;
•Smoking or using open flames in non-smoking areas;
•Setting off any form of fireworks or sky lanterns within the scenic area, including but not limited to firecrackers and Kongming lanterns;
•Obstructing or blocking fire escape routes in the scenic area;
•Breaking tree branches, picking flowers or fruits, any form of hunting, or capturing/collecting aquatic animals and plants;
•Operating any form of aircraft, drones, model aircraft, model boats, or model cars within the scenic area without permission;
•Forcibly entering unopened venues or construction areas;
•Actions that damage the ecology, pollute the environment, or endanger cultural relics;
•Staying overnight in unapproved residences or areas without authorization;
•Other behaviors that hinder visitors' leisure and vacation, violate public order, or are detrimental to the protection of this historic district or its related facilities.
Declarations:
The protection of historical heritage is not just about buildings, but the sum of the ecological environment within the protected area. To protect the original ecological environment of the scenic area and refuse pollution, disposable packaging boxes, tableware, etc., are not provided within the scenic area. Used battery recycling bins and classified trash bins have been set up. Please join us in protecting the ancient town and cherishing nature!
For the purpose of maintaining order in public areas and ensuring the safety of all visitors, we may photograph, film, record, or otherwise reproduce the image and/or voice of any person who enters the public areas of this historic district without prior notice.
We reserve the right to refuse admission or require any person to leave if they do not comply with the management rules of this historic district or engage in illegal, dangerous, or disrespectful behavior.
We may, from time to time, change the operating hours of this historic district or its attractions, temporarily close them or control the number of admissions, suspend or cancel any tours or attractions without prior notice due to: the capacity of the historic district, inclement weather or special events; or to ensure safety, security, or order; or for renovation, maintenance, and other circumstances we deem necessary. "This historic district" as mentioned in these rules refers to the Wuzhen Xizha Historic Street (Scenic) Area; "we" refers to the Wuzhen International Tourism Zone Construction Management Committee and Wuzhen Tourism Co., Ltd.
