Standing 1545 metres above sea level amongst glacial lakes, alpine moorland and World Heritage Listed wilderness, this iconic mountain is pure untamed Tassie. On this full day tour, you’ll score front row seats. We begin our adventures with an easy guided walk to the stunning Pencil Pine Falls. A great introduction to the National Park. After that it’s onto our main walk of the day, Dove Lake Circuit, an easy 6km circumnavigation of the stunning lake that sits at the bottom of Cradle Mountain. The views are epic. If you’re up for a challenge, tackle the hike to Marion’s Lookout. We provide accurate interpretation, and keep wildlife disturbance to a minimum by viewing from appropriate distances and informing our guests how to view wildlife with patience and respect. Activities are always confined to tracks and boardwalks to minimize negative impacts.
Hotel pickup time is between 7am and 7:30am depending on your location. Hotel pickup is available from central city Hotels and Hostels ( no AirBnB’s). Please arrange pickup from your hotel at least 48 hours prior to departure with the tour operator.
Luggage – Please only bring hand luggage/a day pack on tour, otherwise we won’t all fit! Tours that travel between Launceston and Hobart, we allow for 1 x small sized case & a day pack. If you have excess luggage, please contact our team.
Meals are not provided, however, there are plenty of opportunities to stop for lunch and snacks on each tour day to suit your taste and budget.
Accommodation is not included. Hotel pick up is available from select hotel locations only. If carrying your luggage is an issue, please ensure you stay at a hotel location that is included in our door to door pick up schedule.
