Many tea experiences in Japan focus only on matcha and formal tea ceremony. This workshop explores a different side of Japanese tea culture—how tea is actually brewed and enjoyed in everyday life.
• Discover several styles of Japanese tea, not just matcha
• Brew tea like a master using tried-and-tested traditional techniques, a Japanese iron kettle, and locally sourced organic whole tea leaves
• Learn practical brewing skills you can easily recreate at home
• Compare how the same tea changes between the first and second infusion
• Experience a unique cultural twist: tea paired with Shochu, inspired by casual izakaya drinking culture
We hope the knowledge and experience from this workshop will deepen your appreciation for Japan—the Land of the Rising Sun.

Using a traditional kyusu teapot, you will learn practical brewing techniques such as water temperature, leaf quantity, and how flavor changes between the first and second infusion. After brewing and tasting the teas yourself, you will discover how tea is part of daily life in Japan—from relaxing at home to enjoying tea in casual izakaya bars.
