This hike will take you along uncharted trails and through a pristine forest, ensuring an immersive and unrivalled experience. You will be able to observe numerous species of high-altitude birds, such as the majestic quetzal, and walk in the habitat of various mammals that inhabit our forests, such as the cougar, the danta and the bush goat, among others, and then finish at the viewpoint of Costa Rica’s only natural color lagoon. A lagoon formed by waters of volcanic origin that stains with wonderful colors as it mixes with other tributaries. A place few people know.
Our abundant vegetation will dazzle you, and with any luck, you will have the opportunity to walk among the clouds. All this, along with the benefits of physical activity that a mountain hike provides, will make your visit an unforgettable experience.

Itinerary
El Iral Bosque Nuboso
The Iral Bosque Nuboso, in the Coronado Mountains, is a natural paradise 50 minutes from San José, with 1600 hectares dedicated to conservation, ecotourism and dairy production. The restaurant offers panoramic views and a varied menu for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The activity begins with a transfer from Parque Francia, in Barrio Escalante or arriving directly at Iral, followed by registration and specifications at the reception. The 13km walk through the cloud forest, guided by an expert, culminates in a viewpoint with breathtaking views of the colourful lagoon. The hike has a cumulative ascent of 800 m and lasts approximately 5 hours, ideal for intermediate walkers. At the end, you can enjoy additional food and drinks in the visitor center. The activity includes transportation, bilingual guide, lunch box and entrance to the property.
