    - ATASHGAH ( Fire Temple ) The temple built in Surakhani village near Baku city by fire-worshiper Indian merchants – Parsees in the XVII century. The visiting Parsees heard that there was a place with burning natural gas near Baku and when they came there they saw inextinguishable flame there. They decided to build a temple over that flame and it was called "ATASHGAH" ("Place of Fire"). "ATASHGAH" being a fire temple is situated in the distance of 30 km from Baku in the south-eastern part of Surakhani settlement in Absheron peninsula. "ATASHGAH" is a fire temple built in the place of inextinguishable flames in the XVII-XVIII centuries. The stable being earliest construction of the temple belongs to 1713 of our age, the central temple-altar was built on account funds of merchant Kanchanagara in 1810. - Yanardag ( Flame Mountain ) The natural monument with no history known, flamed in the result of extraction of natural gas in the territory of Mammadli village, in the coast of Caspian Sea in Absheron peninsula near Baku city. It is situated in the distance of 27 km from the center of Baku city, 2 km from the center of village, in the left direction of Mahammadi – Digah highway.
