Highlights

Exploration of Georgia follows the Great Silk Road, and introduces the combination of Georgian culture, history and nature to its visitors. Participants of this tour will be able to sightsee the capital of Georgia – Tbilisi, museum of Joseph Stalin in Gori town, Kutaisi city and Imereti region in the western part of Georgia, the cave sites of Uplistsikhe and Prometheus, and traditional Georgian wine-making region Kakheti in the east.

    Metekhi church of 13th c. overlooking Mtkvari River. Nearby the church stands the monument of the King Vakhtang I Gorgasali (or Vakhtang the Wolf Head) the founder of Tbilisi as the capital of Georgia.
  • Narikala Fortress

    Drive to Narikala fortress by cable car and enjoy the views of the city from the top. The fortress was first built in 4th c. AD and was known as Shuris Tsikhe (translates as Invidious Fortress). Present structures date from 7th c. and 12th c.

    Stroll down to the old city and visit Tbilisi Mosque, the only surviving one dating back to 18th c. Some of the baths date back to 17th-19th cc. and are built on natural hot water springs. Take a walk on Meidan square, Sharden and Erekle II streets with lots of cafes, bars and pubs, souvenir shops and art galleries.
