・Bulguksa Temple
Bulguksa Temple is registered as a World Heritage Site. When talking about

Bulguksa Temple is still a large-scale temple today, but it is said that in
its heyday in the 8th century, it boasted a magnificent scale with over 60
wooden buildings with a total of 2,000 rooms.
・Seokguram Grotto
Further up the mountain from Bulguksa Temple is Seokguram Grotto, a cultural
asset. It is said to be a representative work of Korean Buddhist art, and was
registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO together with Bulguksa Temple in
1995. The Buddha statues are magnificent, but the view of Gyeongju from
Seokguram Grotto is also spectacular.
Haeinsa Temple is one of the three major temples in Korea (Haeinsa, Tongdosa,
Songgwangsa), and is famous for storing the Tripitaka Koreana (World Heritage
Site), which is a collection of Buddhist scriptures carved on 80,000 boards.
It is said to have been built by Monk Sunjung, the grandson of Great Monk
Uisang, the founder of the Hwagon sect, during the Silla period, and his
disciple Monk Ijeong.
