The tour to the Tonle Sap lake and floating village was a great experience. Our guide Chay, was informative and entertaining. After our trip down the river, we wandered through the local village to once again board the boat to travel to the flooded forest. We then hopped on the traditional kayaks steered by locals (at a cost of USD$5.50pp) and meandered along the waterways. Upon disembarking, we boarded the boat again and headed out onto the lake to a floating ‘restaurant’ where we spent 20 minutes having a drink. It was then back down the river to the van. An enjoyable and interesting half day.
