light in this workshop exploring the creative possibilities of projection
mapping. The session breaks down the essential technical and artistic
differences between standard flat projection and the immersive 360-degree
canvas of dome projection. Through dynamic demonstrations and case studies,

FutureScope Lab - Sound System (Conducted in Cantonese)
April 9, 2026 (Thu) | 18:30–19:30
April 10, 2026 (Fri) | 20:00–21:00
Participants will explore how sound transforms the dome into a fully spatial
audio environment. This one-hour workshop breaks down the technical and
creative integration of multichannel sound systems, demonstrating how audio
can dynamically respond to 360-degree visuals to deepen emotional impact and
presence. Through live demonstrations, attendees will hear how sounds travel
around the dome in sync with projected imagery, while case studies from
immersive performances and installations reveal professional techniques.
Designed for students and curious beginners, the session provides introduction
and insight into the software and speaker configurations used to craft these
sonic environments.
FutureScope Lab - Visual Design (Conducted in English, with supplementary
Cantonese)
April 9, 2026 (Thu) | 20:00–21:00
April 10, 2026 (Fri) | 17:00–18:00
This workshop explores the unique art of creating 360-degree immersive
visuals. Participants will learn how designing for a spherical environment
differs fundamentally from traditional screens. Through compelling case
studies of visual performances, attendees will see how artists manipulate
perspective, curvature, and viewer gaze to tell stories that envelop a space.
A live demonstration will reveal how flat artwork must be warped and
reimagined to feel natural inside the dome, with insight into the software and
rendering techniques used by professionals. This introductory session will
also demonstrate how software like TouchDesigner can unify visuals, sound, and
interactive elements into a single, seamless immersive experience, showing how
all design components can be integrated and controlled together. Whether you
are a student, or simply curious about the future of storytelling, this
session will change how you see the canvas forever.
