The Cu Chi tunnels are the starting point for those interested in learning about Vietnam's strategic hamlet and tunnel system, which spans over 220 km. We will watch a short documentary video from 1967 to gain insight into this historical site. We will crawl through the tiny passageways to understand the tactics used by the guerilla fighters, see a variety of deadly traps, and taste tapioca with salted sesame seeds in the Hoang Cam kitchen system. It's difficult to imagine the devastation caused by bombing and mines when Cu Chi was designated as "A Free Target Zone." We will also visit the shooting range (bullet exclusion). After visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels, we will head to the Mekong Delta (Cai Be) and stop for lunch at the Mekong Restop.
