All we know is a group of ancient folk legends from Jewish history, the closest to be believed and the most famous of which is the story of naming the city itself. The name Demnat is a compound name of two parts first Dem which is blood the second part is Nat which is the name of a beautiful young girl from a Jewish family who lived in the area with her family at the time, to be sacrificed to a monster that lived in the Atlas Mountains near the city, to obtain water by a natural sewage road connects the mountains to the center of the region.
