Early morning, your guide meet you at your pre selected location & set off for the 2.5 hours scenic drive to Debark, the gateway to Simien Mountain. Stop in Debark, the headquarter of Simien Mountain, get registered, pay park fees & pick up park scout & proceed to the park. Begin the 1 hour off-road drive to Sankaber (3,250m), the first campsite & first major viewpoint in the Simien mountain with stops for Gelada baboon & scenic overlooks. Start a moderate 2-3 hours hike from Sankaber to Jinbar waterfall & Geech Abyss viewpoint through stunning landscapes. On the way, spot large troops of Gelada baboon & possibly Ethiopian wolves & lammergeiers. Stop at Jinbar waterfall, cascading 500m into the abyss, an incredible photo spot! Marvel at the Geech Abyss, a dramatic sheer-drop cliff with panoramic mountain views. By midday, enjoy your packed picnic lunch with a view overlooking the Simien escarpment. After lunch, if time permits, continue driving 1.5 hours deeper into the park to Chenek (3,600m), the most spectacular viewpoint. See dramatic rock formations, spot Walia ibex & take in 360° views of the Simien range. Finally, begin the 3 hour drive back to Gondar. End of the trip.
