We start the hike at Thendele and its approximately 22 kilometers hike that takes 6-8 hours. This is an amazing hike in the Tugela Gorge that is situated in the famous Drakensberg Amphitheater. The gorge is the section below the Tugela Falls (the highest falls in the world) The river has cut out a deep ravine that has spectacular pools and mountain cut outs. I can never get enough of the aqua colour the river a pools display. Depending on your fitness and experience I will design the hike to suit you. At the end of the Gorge we take a short brake to have lunch and swim in the poolsDurban

On the way we will have a swim in the sea , do some fishing and generally enjoy the kilometers of beach where you might see nobody else the entire day. The Mkambati Strandlooper hike includes viewing a shipwreck and then the Mkambati falls which drop directly into the ocean. We will also visit a village and swim in the sea. There is often sightings of Whales and Dolphins. Lucht on the beach at the half way mark depending on fitness levels.
