It's recommended to depart from Kathmandu early in the morning as it provides excellent panoramic views of distant peaks, including the White Mountains of Everest, Annapurna, and Langtang. The distance between Kathmandu and Thankot is 16 kilometres, with an approximate travel time of 30-60 minutes depending on traffic. The cable car journey spans over two kilometres, starting from close to Godam at Thankot, and takes about 9 minutes. After enjoying the breathtaking views, we'll descend back to the base and return to Kathmandu by car.
