Itinerary
Germanisches Nationalmuseum
Starting at the Germanisches Nationalmuseum on Kartäusergasse, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and head into the walled old town. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city. The Ehekarussell fountain opens the route with brutal honesty: six bronze scenes of marriage from first kiss to final reckoning, based on a 16th-century poem. Riddles take their vows carefully. The Dürer-Hase follows — a hefty, slightly nightmarish bronze homage to Albrecht Dürer's famous watercolour hare, crouched near his house below the castle. Then the Schöner Brunnen glitters on the Hauptmarkt, forty figures high, with a brass ring that grants wishes to those who find and spin it. Trivia knows the trick. Around two hours between city walls. The leaderboard decides who takes Nuremberg — gingerbread for all is encouraged.
