The Temple of Poseidon is a temple dedicated to God Poseidon, the God of the sea, standing for 2.500 years right on the edge of the clifs of Cape Sounio, the southern most tip of the peninsula of Attica. Up on the rock where the temple of Poseidon is located, you will enjoy a great open view of the Aegean Sea and probably the best sunset of your life. On the way back to Athens, you can have dinner at one of the restaurants, ideal for tasting fresh fish and seafood.
