Malmö is in the midst of a rapid and exciting development which means that we can undoubtedly speak of the New Malmö. The city, which in its heyday was one of the country's most industrialized, is today rather a multicultural melting pot with a movement and power that is unique, where much of the old is taken advantage of and merges with the new. A new city takes shape, new buildings create new neighborhoods and become symbols of Malmö's rapid change from an industrial city to a green, global and urban knowledge city.
