Lake Arenal is a lake which is situated in the northern highlands of Costa Rica. It is currently the largest lake in Costa Rica at 85-square-kilometre. Its depth varies between 30 and 60 meters seasonally. The town of Arenal was relocated to higher ground when the lake was expanded in 1979.Arenal Volcano
1 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedIt is a walk through easily accessible trails. There are sighting towers that will allow for beautiful 360 ° photographs of the lake and the volcano. The site is excellent for bird watching, where you can view toucans, motmots, trogons, and oropendolas. You can also hear or maybe even see howler monkeys, spider monkeys, or capuchin monkeys, as well as many other species. It is a roughly 2-mile trail with no steps and little incline, completely apt for wheelchairs and those with physical limitations. At the end of the walk our transportation will be waiting to return to your hotel.
