Attention : We have a limited number of tickets for 9.30 slot! The places for 9.30 slot will be filled according to the booking order! But even without the tickets for 9.30 the tour will be done anyway, starting by Cascais and finishing in Sintra. But we'll visit the 2 palaces anyway. I went with my husband and my son and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The group was small (which we liked) and the history provided by Duarte on the royal family before we visited the palaces was certainly helpful. The places we stopped along the coast were beautiful.
We had such a wonderful experience on our tour with Duarte — his energy, humour, and personal stories really made the day come alive. It felt less like a formal tour and more like exploring with a friend who genuinely loves his country. From the start, Duarte made sure we were well taken care of — he even packed water and unveiled a little Pastel de Nata surprise for us before we began proper! With them, we entered the palace seamlessly, allowing us to more time to enjoy the beauty of the place! His knowledge of the Sintra region as a whole is unmatched. We were a small group, which made the whole experience more intimate and interactive. Duarte’s thoughtful organization kept everything running smoothly, and his restaurant choice for lunch was absolutely amazing — great food, atmosphere, and local flavours. Top, top, top. He also went out of his way to help us capture the best photos throughout the day, making sure we left with not just memories but beautiful moments to look back on. We couldn’t recommend Duarte and Happy Tours Portugal more highly. If you’re looking for a guide who brings both knowledge and heart, this is the one to book! You won’t regret.
Excellent tour with Lukas. Leaving early makes a difference with avoiding the crowds. Lukas takes photos for you and prepares the tickets. All You have to do is turn up.
I am so glad we chose this tour as we were the first in line at the Pena Palace which also gave us enough time to take proper photos inside and out of the palace. Eddy gave us a great history of Sintra. We appreciate that he also doubled as our photographer:). We had a great lunch as well. We like that there were just 6 of us so we got to know our fellow travelers. Make sure that you wear proper walking/hiking shoes as the climb up the palace is quite steep. The tour included a drive and stop at Caiscas so it’s a nice ending to the whole tour.
Great trip! Be prepared for a super long day! Though meeting time is super early but being able be in the first in Q is the best thing! The guide will help to get the tickets in advance. Just need to pay the guide at the end of the tour.
