The highlight of my Copenhagen trip. These are the original Six Forgotten Giants created by Thomas Dambo in 2016—the sculptures that launched his worldwide troll collection. I’ve never heard of Thomas Dambo before this trip. Important note: this is a HUNT, not a sightseeing bus tour. Expect long walks, some steep sections and even a stream crossing. Wear proper hiking shoes and come with a reasonable level of fitness. Don’t book this tour and then complain about the walking—that’s the whole experience. Troll photos are readily available on the internet. The real joy is the journey to find them across beautiful beaches and vast open grasslands. Having a guide is a huge plus, taking the stress out of navigating. We visited in late June and were blessed with sunny, clear blue skies. Our guide was engaging, informative and full of stories. Each tour has a maximum of just six guests. The ride was comfortable and safe in a Volkswagen Sharan. Nature lovers, book early as spaces are limited. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Highly recommended.
