Itinerary Overview

1. Jurien Bay Jetty

Jurien Bay Jetty is a famous local seaside spot, perfect for a stroll,
fishing, and enjoying the ocean view. The relaxed atmosphere and tranquil
scenery are perfect for unwinding. Visit duration: approx. 30 minutes.

2. Leaning Tree

The Leaning Tree is a uniquely tilted tree famous for its distinctive shape.
It is a popular photo spot for photography enthusiasts. Visit duration:
approx. 10 minutes.

3. Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake

Hutt Lagoon is renowned for its magical pink hue, caused by specific algae and
chemical compositions. It is a natural wonder. Visit duration: approx. 1 hour.

4. HMAS Sydney II Memorial

This memorial commemorates the Australian soldiers who sacrificed their lives
in WWII. Featuring grand sculptures and a dedicated space, it is a historical
site filled with solemnity and peace. Visit duration: approx. 15 minutes.

5. The Horizon Ball

Designed by artist Lucy Humphrey, this installation uses the physical
properties of water and glass to present the surrounding seascape in an
inverted (upside-down) image. Seeing the inverted coastline, ocean, and sky
through the sphere makes it a famous photo spot.

First stop: Experience the tranquility of the coast

📍 Jurien Bay Jetty

Trip Highlights: Arrive at the famous Jurien Bay, the perfect place to rest
after a long drive. Take a stroll along the jetty, feel the sea breeze, and if
you are lucky, you might see the locals fishing. The laid-back atmosphere and
peaceful sea views will wash away your travel fatigue.

Recommended duration: approx. 30 minutes

⬇ (Head to Geraldton Foreshore) ⬇

Second stop: A perspective of an upside-down world 📍 The Horizon Ball

Trip Highlights: Stroll to the seaside to find the giant water-filled sphere
designed by artist Lucy Humphrey. Through the unique physical refraction of
the sphere, you can see a magical 'upside-down' image of the seascape in front
of you. It is the most popular creative photo spot recently.

Recommended duration: approx. 15 - 20 minutes (photo time)

⬇ (Continue north towards the highlight of the journey)

Third stop: The dreamy pink miracle 📍 Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake

Trip Highlights: Arrive at the highlight of the trip—the pink rose left behind
by God. Due to special algae and chemical components, the lake water presents
an incredible pink color. It is recommended to visit when the sun is bright,
as the lake color will be at its most vivid and saturated, making it a
visually stunning natural wonder.

Recommended duration: approx. 1 hour

⬇ (Enter Geraldton city center) ⬇

Fourth stop: A solemn historical tour 📍 HMAS Sydney II Memorial

Trip Highlights: Head to the high point of Geraldton to visit this memorial
dedicated to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in WWII. Not only does it
feature exquisite domes and sculptures, but it also offers a panoramic view of
the entire city and harbor, with a solemn and peaceful atmosphere.

Recommended duration: approx. 15 minutes

⬇

Fifth stop: Witness nature's sculpture 📍 Leaning Tree

Trip Highlights: Arrive in the Greenough area, where a 'Leaning Tree' with a
peculiar posture stands by the road. Due to the long-term exposure to strong
sea winds, the trunk grows horizontally at a 90-degree angle. This is a very
unique and interesting photo spot.

Recommended duration: approx. 10 minutes

Arrange to arrive at the Pink Lake between noon and 2 PM, when the sun angle
is best and the lake water color will be the most vibrant and beautiful.
