In the morning, our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 9am or Longmen railway station and transfer to Longmen Grottoes.

You first will visit the the Longmen Grottoes, which is a treasure house of ancient stone-carving art. Carrying over 1500 years of history, Longmen Grottoes is the carving masterpiece, which went through over 400 years to complete, tracing back to AD 493 of Northern Wei dynasty. Now as the famous tourist site, it shows the bright period of Buddhist culture of ancient China.

After lunch, we will attend the Peony Culture Festival, hosted amongst one of the various gardens, to admire the blooming flowers. We will visit a peony garden from the following three parks according to the flowering period. Shenzhou Peony Garden, covering an area of 400,000 square meters (478,000 square yards), is a palatial park in the architectural style of Tang Dynasty (618-907) and filled with more than 1,000 species of peonies. The other option, the National Peony Garden is particularly famous for a peony tree planted more than 1,000 years ago. The China National Flower Garden occupies the largest area, and is designed especially for the peony culture of Luoyang with over 500,000 peony trees planted here.
