Itinerary

This is a 2 day tour departing from the Edinburgh area and taking you to the most scenic places in the Highlands. We travel through The Trossachs stopping at various places on our journey to Glencoe where you will be captivated by the stunning landscape and marvel at the recreated 17th century turfhouse.
We pass through Fort William to Spean Bridge where on a clear day you will see Ben Nevis , Britains Highest Mountain.
Continuing down The Great Glen we stop at Fort Augustus and maybe see some vessels passing through The Caledonian Canal.
Invermoriston Falls and summer house is our next stop.
Our final stop of the day is at Urquhart Castle on Loch ness side where you will get a magnificient view of Loch Ness. before we drop you at your accommodation in Inverness.
Overnight in Inverness.

We start day two by taking a short tour around Inverness , seeing the Cathedral and Castle and going into The Old High churchyard where Jacobite prisoners were executed after the Battle of Culloden , you can still see Musket Ball marks on the church wall where the executions took place.
We visit Culloden Battlefield and walk around the site where our guide will tell you the story and you will see the clan gravestones and memorial cairn.
Clava Cairns is a 4000 year old ancient burial ground where Diana Gabaldon took inspiration from for her Outlander series of books and films.
Travelling South from Clava we stop in the pretty little town of Pitlochry which is sometimes described as the Centre of Scotland. We stop here for lunch and there is an opportunity to visit the Heathergems factory and gift shop.
Our final stop of the tour is at Stirling Castle , so much history in the Castle and of course near by where the Battle of Stirling Bridge took place and on the other side of the Castle where The Battle of Bannockburn took place , you can also see The Wallace Monument from the Castle.
Following our visit to Stirling Castle we drive you in to Edinburgh or Glasgow and drop you at your preferred place.
