Golden is an electrifying celebration of the rich lineage from Jazz to Funk music and dance. This unique event brings together leaders from Singapore’s vibrant Jazz and Street dance communities for an unforgettable night of connection, creativity, and rhythm.

The evening kicks off with a Lindy Hop class led by local Jazz dance figures, open to dancers of all levels. Right after, immerse yourself in a Lindy Hop social accompanied by live music, capturing the joyful, high-energy spirit of swing.

Next, the party continues with live jazz-funk music—a groove-heavy blend that welcomes both Lindy Hoppers and Street dancers onto the floor. It’s a rare chance for these communities to dance, jam, and share in the same rhythm. 

Then, the best 4 Jazz and best 4 Street dancers from the party will be selected for a 2v2 dance battle where Jazz and Street dancers pair up. (Note: This isn't a cypher audition! Judges will pick the people who are the best at partying with the best energy) Witness the two styles from the same lineage but different times come together in a competitive context.

The night builds to a two-hour performance showcase, spotlighting some of Singapore’s most accomplished artists in Jazz and Street dance. Each act brings its own signature style, from smooth swing footwork to powerful funk grooves.

To crown the evening, we have a jam-packed lineup of leading dancers from Singapore (to see the lineup, check Instagram). We're also honoured to present Ruben Chi, an internationally renowned Funk dancer whose dynamic style and musicality have captivated audiences worldwide.
