Itinerary
Guanabara Bay
For those who love sun, salt water, fun, freedom and adventure, to sail is the perfect experience! Our sailing boat tour starts from Urca and gateway to the sea”, and goes through the following points: Urca Beach; Flamengo Beach; Forte São João; Forte da Lage; Forte Santa Cruz; Vermelha Beach; Leme beach, until you reach Copacabana Beach, where we stop for a refreshing swim. On the way back, we can see also the Cotunduba island, the Museum of Contemporary Art (Oscar Niemeyer’s job) in the peculiar shape of a flying saucer. Then we will return to Urca When the tide is strong, the tour script changes for security reasons. In this case, the sail boat leaves from Urca, following the same path, but without leaving the Guanabara Bay. We go, then, to take a ride along the coast of Niteroi, go through the Saco de São Francisco; we passed through Icaraí Beach; the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) and, finally, we will return to the Rio’s downtown area until you reach Urca.
