Start with a 25minute scenic drive to the Chalet before walking the easy graded Organ Pipes Track (90 minutes). Take in the towering cliffs, snow gums and panoramic views of Hobart and surrounds. You will have a Local guide with a university level understanding of the mountain who knew the early hiking pioneers and can tell their stories. Then it’s time to drive to the summit. On the arrival of the mountain top, there is 35minute walk and scramble onto the trig point, an easy stroll to lookouts for amazing views of much of Tasmania. Also have a close up look at the unique alpine vegetation and geology. Then more remarkable views on the 35minute drive back to Hobart.

David will remember the first time he walked from the city all the way up here when he was 18 years old, it took him 5 hours. • Then we get free time to check out and photograph from the Hobart and south West Wilderness viewing platforms. Up close we observe unique Tasmanian alpine vegetation and pillars of rock. At the summit, you will be filled with astonishment, to be launched forth into an ocean of natural goodness where you can see no limits.
