Itinerary

After 1.5 hours driving time, you will arrive at the foot of Hongluo Mountain. Then you can enjoy your self-guided tour by hiking and exploring. Hongluo Temple was originally constructed in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317 - 420) and expanded in the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). Covering an area of 16.6 acres, it is the biggest temple in the northern area of Beijing. The Temple was the Holy land of Buddhism at that time. Emperors even came to burn incense and prostrate themself before the statue of the Buddha. The Temple was therefore quite well know both at home and abroad.
