The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is a world-renowned mountain route crossing the Northern Alps, with peaks over 3,000 meters. Stretching 37.2 km with a maximum elevation difference of 1,975 meters, it passes through the Chubu Sangaku National Park. Enjoy the stunning natural beauty of Tateyama Kurobe, transferring between transport modes from Tateyama Station to Ogizawa Station, and visiting scenic spots along the way.
Japan’s Longest Single-Span Ropeway
The Tateyama Ropeway connects Daikanbo and Kurobedaira with no supporting pillars in between, designed to preserve both scenery and the natural environment. Often described as a “moving observatory,” it offers breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views. Through its wide windows, enjoy dramatic slopes of Daikanbo to the west and the Ushiro-Tateyama mountain range to the east.
Kurobe Dam – A Truly Impressive Scale
