Climbers are allowed to hike to the mountain hut on day 1, even if it is raining; Sabah Park has the right to close the gate to the summit on day 2 due to safety reasons. There will be no refund / postponement in this case
Climbers MUST present their original passports/IC for climb registration at Kinabalu Park HQ on the actual day of climb. Please bring it along with you.
Climbers MUST attend the compulsory Via Ferrata briefing/training session in Pendant Hut between 15:00hrs-16:00hrs (Latest Cut-off time) on 1st day of climb.
Climbers MUST descend & arrive at starting point by 06:30hrs (LPC) or 07:15hrs (WTT) for each activities (Latest Cut-off time) on 2nd day of climb.
All Via Ferrata activities will be conducted together in mix groups by qualified Mountain Torq Ferrata trainers
Climbers who fail to comply with the timing will not be able to proceed with the selected Via Ferrata Teaser activity. NO reimbursement shall be made.
Via Ferrata activity can be cancelled due to bad weather for the safety of all climbers, NO reimbursement shall be made
Please do not rush or be disappointed should you not be able to make it on time or if the activity is cancelled. Safety comes first, as you can still reach the Low’s Peak summit without going through the Via Ferrata activity
Operators reserves the right to change or cancel the customer’s reservation in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. For some Climbing Itineraries to operate successfully, a minimum number of customers are required. Should the number of customers fail to reach the minimum number required, Operators reserves the right to cancel the customer’s reservation.
In the event of above situation occurring and if an alternative climbing activity is not available or acceptable to the customer, the customer will be entitled to either a full refund or transfer to another Operators activity/itinerary without payment of any transfer fee. The customer agrees that if it selects to transfer to another Operators activity/itinerary of higher value, the difference in price between the original selected Mountain Torq Activity and the newly selected Operators activity/itinerary will the borne by the customer.
If the change or cancellation is due to force majeure events (including without limitation political unrest, war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, closure of airports or ports, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemic or health risk, Acts of God, flood, adverse weather conditions or other similar events beyond Operators' control), the customer agrees that no refund will be made by Operators.
Operators reserves the right to change or cancel the activities if the safety of the customers and / or Operators staff will be compromised. The customer agrees that no form of compensation will be made by Operators.
Operators shall not be responsible for the costs of any other travel arrangement affected due to its cancellations or rescheduling of any Climbing Itineraries.
Operators constantly strives to improve its Itinerary. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond its control make changes necessary, the customer agrees and acknowledges that Operators reserves the right to vary itineraries and to substitute activities, accommodation and meals without prior notice to the customer
Operators shall not be responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to the changes to its Itineraries.
We do not recommend climbers to catch your flight on the same day you descend the mountain due to possible delay from injuries, tiredness and/or bad weather and traffic conditions.
