Explore one of the most beautiful reserves in the State of Chiapas, la Encrucijada, stands out for the abundance of mangroves in its coastal areas, as well as canals and permanently and seasonally flooded land. It was declared a Protected Area in 1995. Since then, its ecosystem has been subject to conservation and management, due to its great ecological importance and economic potential. Discover the tallest mangrooves in Mexico, and explore a unique scenary in the world. Also, we will spent time at the Coffe Route in the heart of a lush tropical nature considered a paradisiacal place beautiful and prestigious coffee farms in Mexico: Argovia.The landscape, its rivers, its sui generis architecture, the mixture of European culture with the mestizo, result in this extraordinary Resort located in the foothills of the Sierra Madre de Chiapas.
Itinerary
"Biological diversity and richness of the site is extraordinary and includes a number of wildlife species such as Jaguars, river crocodiles and alligators, spider monkeys, and more than three hundred species of birds one hundred of which are migratory." Encrucijada Biophere reserve.
Day 1:
• Our adventure start early morning with direction to Las Garzas ( Point of Embark) near of Acapetahua Chiapas to take our boat and continue to cross the channels of the Encrucijada. Our local guide will lead us to enter the labyrinths of the Encrucijada, admiring the sizes and colors of the mangroves, where we can observe the flora and fauna of the place as well as the stillness that reigns in the area. We will have time to take our food at El Ballenato with the local communitie that is in charge of this Ecotourism Center. After the visit we will continue to spent the night to Argovia Finca Resort.
Day 2:
• Our second day start with a delicious cup of coffe and regional breakfast. You could live the experience of four generations of coffee growers working under the concept of sustainable agriculture, diversification and respect for the environment. You could also take a tour of he nurseries flowers and exotic foliage. They are known from the pisca, which is to collect the fruit of the plant that can be robust Arabic or until toasted grain that defines its flavor. Free Afternoon at Argovia Finca Resort. Optional: Temazcal or SPA.
Day 3:
• Early morning we can enjoy the sunrise and bird watching from the special viewpoint of the farm, which you can get to by a 'jeep' or walking. The farm is friendly to the environment because it has a special system of treating organic waste production resulting in an excellent fertilizer 100% organic. You will also have time to spend a unique experience in the mountain taking a exquisite cup of coffee near the mountains in Chiapas.
After lunch, you will head back to your hotel in Tuxtla Gutierrez or San Cristóbal. End of Services. The time of arrival to Tuxtla Gutiérrez is about 18:00 pm.
