The Tokyo Christmas Market is a German-style Christmas market held in Tokyo
each winter, and in 2026 it runs at two venues at once: a new bayside site at
Shin-Toyosu, hosting the market for the first time and a 2-minute walk from
Shin-Toyosu Station on the Yurikamome Line, and the Shiba Park venue near
Tokyo Tower (separate ticket). At Shin-Toyosu, from November 20 to December
25, wooden stall huts (hütte) line the venue around a lit-up Christmas
pyramid, the market's symbol, with 22 food and drink stalls, 12 goods stalls
and 2 workshops planned. The market is outdoors and opens rain or shine; only
stormy weather closes it.

• What can you eat, drink and buy at the Tokyo Christmas Market?

Warm up with Glühwein (mulled wine), draft beer from Germany or hot chocolate,
and eat German sausages and traditional Christmas sweets from the food stalls.
The goods stalls carry snow globes, ornaments and other European Christmas
goods, and the stage hosts music and performances. The 2026 stage program and
workshops will be announced closer to the opening.

• How do the KKday advance tickets for Shin-Toyosu work?

Choose your date and entry time slot when you book; each slot has a set
capacity, so book early for popular dates. On the day, go to the advance-
ticket entrance at your reserved start time, show the QR code on your phone
and wear the wristband you are given. Adult advance tickets bought on KKday
include an original mug, which child tickets and same-day gate tickets do not;
same-day tickets cost the same but sell out once the daily quota is reached
and can mean a long queue. Visitors are asked to keep their stay to about 2
hours, and tickets cannot be cancelled or changed after purchase.
