Excursion duration: full day from 08:00hs. to 20:00hs. Distance in climb: 4km. Distance in descent 4 km. Total 8 km. How much do you have to climb?: 350 m approx. Chaltén is 450 m, Capri is 700m. How much is there to walk?: How long does it take to walk back and forth?: 5 hours.

IMPORTANT: THE USE OF THE GRAMPONS DEPENDS ON THE CONDITIONS OF THE SNOW, SOMETIMES THEY ARE NOT NECESSARY, OTHER TIMES THEY MUST BE PUT ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY.
The first kilometer of the trail runs on a steep slope, until you reach the "Mirador Río de las Vueltas", a natural balcony about 30 minutes away.The second kilometer of this hike is of lower slope than the first, while gaining height by the western slope of the valley of the river De las Vueltas, with a panoramic view of the Los Condores cordon. Shortly after the beginning of the third kilometer, you reach the fork towards the Laguna Capri.
The last stretch of the trail reveals the great mountains behind the grove as the descent into the lagoon begins. From the shore of the lagoon you can see a fantastic view of the hill Chaltén or Fitz Roy and its peripheral spires, a place that invites you to stay to look at one of the classic postcards of El Chaltén. There according to the weather we will look for the best place to have our lunch picnic and rest taking pictures, offering passengers a hot drink (te or mate). Return to the village of El Chaltén by the same trail back/down.

Arrival at the Chaltén back at approximately 17:00hs. Arrival at El Calafate return approximately 20 : 00hs
