Fantastic!
The Sydney Harbour helicopter tour had a promising start with a smooth pickup and drop-off. The driver was very kind, friendly, and patient, which made the beginning of the experience really pleasant. On arrival, there were around 14 people and two helicopters. We went through weight checks and safety instructions before being seated. Our booking was for the 10:30 AM slot, but we ended up waiting until about 11:20 AM for our turn. It seemed like a family group was given priority, which is understandable, but the delay without clear communication was a bit frustrating. The main issue, however, was the seating arrangement. While others were seated comfortably with great window views, I was given a middle “baby seat.” Although the seatbelt was eventually fixed, it was initially broken and took about three attempts to properly adjust, which added to the discomfort. The seat itself wasn’t suitable for an adult, especially considering everyone paid the same price. This made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience, as I couldn’t take in the views or feel the same excitement as others who had better seating. To add to this, at the end of the experience when it was time to take photos, everything felt rushed, which didn’t give enough time to properly capture the moment. While the tour itself has great potential and offers stunning views, the overall experience felt uneven. A fair seating arrangement and a more relaxed, well-managed experience would make a big difference.
