The Salkantay Trek begins in Cusco and takes you on a 4-day journey through the Andes to Machu Picchu. Starting in Mollepata and Soraypampa, you’ll hike to the stunning Humantay Lake before ascending to the Salkantay Pass (4,650 m), the highest and most breathtaking point of the trek. From there, the trail descends into the cloud forest, passing through Chaullay, La Playa, and Santa Teresa. Along the way, you'll walk beside waterfalls, coffee plantations, and lush tropical landscapes, discovering Peru’s incredible biodiversity.
