Continue exploring the Serengeti until the afternoon, with opportunities to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife. After the game drive, begin the scenic journey towards the Ngorongoro Highlands, passing through the changing landscapes of the conservation area. Arrive at Simba Campsite near the crater rim for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the natural beauty of the highlands. After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full morning game drive. Explore the crater floor, home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before continuing your wildlife experience until the afternoon. Later, ascend from the crater and begin the scenic drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening.
