Highlights

- Stress-Free Travel: Relax on a comfortable direct bus ride from Tokyo
Station to the scenic coast of Ibaraki.

  • Instagrammable Flower Fields: Wander through the hills of Hitachi Seaside Park and snap breathtaking photos of millions of blooming flowers (Sunflowers, Cosmos, or Kochia depending on the season).

  • Seafood & Street Food: Explore a local Fish Market, a lively spot perfect for trying fresh sashimi, oysters, or grilled seafood (Lunch is at your own leisure/expense).

  • Iconic Photo Spot: Visit the Kamiiso-no-Torii at Ōarai Isomae Shrine. Capture the mystical contrast of the traditional gate standing on rocks against the Pacific Ocean waves.

  • Colossal Views: Look up in awe at the Ushiku Daibutsu, a 120-meter tall statue that holds the Guinness World Record as one of the largest bronze Buddhist statues in the world.

Departing from the Tokyo Station area, escape the city and immerse yourself in the vibrant colors and spiritual history of Ibaraki Prefecture. This tour is designed for travelers who love photography, nature, and authentic local experiences.
1. National Hitachi Seaside Park
First, treat your eyes to the magnificent rolling hills of the National Hitachi Seaside Park. Famous for its seasonal transformations, this park is a photographer's paradise. Depending on the time of year, you can walk through fields of baby blue Nemophila (Spring), vibrant Sunflowers (Summer), or the surreal red Kochia bushes and pink Cosmos (Autumn). It is one of Japan's most photogenic spots, offering a breathtaking view of flowers melting into the sky and ocean.
2. Nakaminato Fish Market
Next, we visit the renowned Nakaminato Fish Market, one of the largest and liveliest markets in the region. Here, you can soak up the bustling atmosphere and see the catch of the day. It is the perfect place to indulge in a fresh seafood lunch at one of the many local restaurants or sample street food delicacies like fresh oysters and grilled skewers. (Please note: Lunch is not included in the tour price and is at your own leisure.)

Ōarai Isomae Shrine (Kamiiso-no-Torii)
In the afternoon, we visit one of Japan's most mystical landscapes: the Ōarai Isomae Shrine. The highlight here is the Kamiiso-no-Torii, a sacred gate standing on rocks in the Pacific Ocean. As the white waves crash against the traditional gate, you will feel the spiritual power of the Japanese kami (gods). This dramatic contrast makes for an unforgettable photo opportunity.

Ushiku Daibutsu
Finally, we marvel at the Ushiku Daibutsu, one of the world's tallest bronze statues. Standing at 120 meters tall, this colossal Buddha is three times taller than the Statue of Liberty. You will have time to admire the statue from the outside, exploring the beautiful gardens at its feet and capturing the sheer scale of this monument against the skyline.
