It was a wonderful experience on the Great Wall and our guide Anson was very good. He gave us clear instructions and was knowledgeable about the history of the Great Wall. The trip ended with a good lunch at the restaurant near the entrance which was homey and tasty.
Great day trip to the Great Wall - Kevin was very friendly, informative and communicated very good on English which made the day so much easier. The time of 4 hours at the wall is enough - whether you wish to use the cable car up and down, then the chair lift up and Toboggan down or whether you decide to go up one on the East side and walk all the way across to West you will have plenty of time for both. Bear in mind that the cable car tickets need to purchased separate and Kevin will help you organise these on the bus. Transport was comfortable and very well organised through out. Highly recommend if you are looking for a way to get to the wall section and have tickets pre arranged, once you are on the wall you can explore at your own pace as you are on your own (along with thousands of other tourists that is but not with the guide) Thank you to Kevin and Happy Dragon Tours for our amazing experience.
The guide Linda was fantastic. She coordinated the trip well, including the buying of additional tickets for the cable car, ski lifts, and toboggan rides. She speaks fluent English with a good sense of humour. She was attentive and approachable too. The lunch provided was at a restaurant at the entrance of the attraction. I recommend you get the optional lunch if you want to taste some homely Chinese cuisine (none of that over-priced street food crap you get at places like Qianmen or Wangfujing), because food at the Great Wall is scarce and over-priced (including the Subway at the entrance even though the pricing is supposedly standardised).
The tour was great. There is about 15-20 people in the tour. Meet up was easy. The tour guide speaks great english, very helpful. Lunch provided was tasty - one of the best tasting lunch.
Kevin, our tour guide was extremely helpful and great to have conversation with. Lunch is a must-have at the nearby Chinese restaurant with a nice variety of dishes. High recommend!
