Fort San PedroThe oldest fort in the Philippines. Facing the sea, it was originally built to defend against foreign invaders, but later served as a barracks during the American colonial period and a prisoner-of-war camp during the Japanese occupation.

Magellan's CrossThis site houses the large cross planted by Magellan when he arrived in the Philippines. It was believed that boiling the wood of the cross could cure illnesses, leading to much of it being chipped away; today, it is carefully preserved within a hexagonal chapel and covered in wood.
