We will leave Port Olimpic to learn about the basics of sailing. At all times they will be accompanied by a professional skipper and will learn the function of each corporal on a cruise ship as well as the maneuvers to hoist and lower the sails. After leaving port, we will sail without a motor, understand what each end is for, how the wind passes through the sails and learn to trim the sails with the use of the winches for each wind course. We will make various changes of course to practice the turning and slewing maneuvers. No prior experience is required. You dare?
