Great lounge, will visit again

I thought it was good enough for people to come in and really take a good break. One thing I’d change are the seats. They’re not super comfy so I can’t take a nap in them. Food was quite focused on Indian food that day so I enjoyed some of the flavours I’d usually not have. Overall clean and no problems.

Was difficult for someone with gluten allergies to eat fr the selection there but the lounge was reasonably quiet and had enough space. Didn’t feel cramped.

When looking for The Coral Lounge at Bangkok Airport, don’t be too quick to jump into the first one you see. There are actually several different Coral Lounges, and the one I visited happened to be one of the most crowded. Getting a seat can be quite challenging, especially during busy periods, as there are simply too many guests for the available seating. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful airport lounge experience, this particular lounge may not be the best choice during peak hours. Food-wise, however, there is quite a good selection of hot meals. My favourite was definitely the crab soup noodles. The soup was spicy, tangy and packed with flavour — easily one of the highlights of the lounge. The egg fried rice and spaghetti were also worth trying and made for a surprisingly satisfying meal before the flight. There is also a confectionery section offering a selection of small cakes and desserts. These tend to disappear quite quickly, but I noticed that the kitchen staff regularly replenished them, sometimes replacing them with different flavours. So even if your first choice is gone, it is worth checking back later. In terms of relaxation, I found the lounge a little less conducive compared with some other airport lounges I have visited. The main reason was simply the crowd. It was difficult to find a quiet corner to properly rest and recharge. Another inconvenience was the lack of easily accessible charging points around the central seating area. If you need to charge your phone or other devices, you may have to look for seats closer to the corners or walls where power outlets are available. That said, I really liked the green sofa in the centre of the lounge. It was comfortable and immediately reminded me of the famous sofa from the TV show Friends. That little resemblance was actually the reason I chose to sit there, and it became my favourite spot in the lounge. Overall, The Coral Lounge offers a decent selection of food, with the crab soup noodles being the standout for me. However, the crowd and limited access to charging points around the central seating area make it less ideal if your main purpose is to find somewhere quiet to rest before your flight. My advice: if you have access to more than one Coral Lounge at Bangkok Airport, take a little time to check your options before settling on the first one you come across.
