Start your day with a trip on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, a relaxing journey winding up the mountain from Cairns to the village of Kuranda. The historic railroad rises from sea level to 328 metres and passes through ancient rainforest. Look out for waterfalls and the breathtaking Barron Gorge. Upon arrival in Kuranda, enjoy a guided tour across land and water on the historic World War II amphibious Army Ducks at the award-winning Rainforestation Nature Park. Your experienced Army Duck Captains will help you identify and learn about the native animals and wildlife.

The army duck tour was the best of all different activities os the day. All of them I enjoyed, but the army duck was really great in particular for the very knowledgeable guide.
