Wheelchair users: All roads and paths are gravel. There is some uneven ground. Main Street at Sovereign Hill is a gentle slope; however, other areas of the site are quite steep. All roads are accessible by wheelchair, but some visitors could find the gravel surfaces difficult to manage.

• Musket Firing: Our Troopers will tell you about law and order on the goldfields and demonstrate you how to load and fire a musket.
• Sweet Making: Discover how boiled lollies are made in the traditional way and enjoy a sample at the end of the demonstration.
• Gold Pour: Pure gold is melted to 1,000 degrees Celsius and poured into a mould to create a pure Gold Ingot.
• Candlemaking: Be mesmerised with the enticing scents of our 19 th century candle factory and watch our candle makers in action.
• Bowling: Set up the skittles and try your hand at 9 pin bowling.
• Wheelwrighting: Watch our skilled craftsmen create hubs, spokes and assemble coach wheels using traditional 19 th century methods.

We had such a memorable time at Sovereign Hill! It truly felt like stepping back in time to the 1850s gold rush era. The streets were alive with costumed characters, and the kids were fascinated by the horse-drawn carriages and old-fashioned shops. One of the highlights was gold panning – we even managed to find a few tiny specks, which made our day! The underground mine tour was both educational and thrilling, giving us a glimpse into the tough lives of miners. Overall, it was an immersive and enriching experience for the whole family – history came alive in the most fun and interactive way.

It was set out very well staff was excellent helped out when ever we needed it
Amazing place, smaller than expected but easy and convenient to walk around the whole place in one go! We tried their sausage rolls and was not expecting it to be as good as it was. The candles, soaps and wax store was noticeably the most enjoyable of our visit there whilst be very affordable! (Great products) The tunnel was thrilling to experience and the horse carriage ride was not bad either.
