Not bad - for a day trip
Overall, the experience was good. Tipping is completely optional, and there was no pressure to leave a tip. All additional expenses not included in the tour were communicated upfront, and the pricing was transparent. The reason I did not give a 5-star rating is that there was no confirmation the day before pickup, nor any information about the driver or a contact number. We were left waiting in the hotel lobby, unsure if or when they would arrive. Additionally, the lunch could be improved.
Pelago service was prompt and great, assisted in changing hotel pick up point with an ease of mind. Pick up was however late for more than 30 mins as they have to route to many hotels. Activities were just merely okay. At the coconut house folk singing, could tell that they were not interested. Lunch seating was badly organised and in the end, my group (2 adults, 1 child) didn’t eat the lunch and sat away from the table when we were told to spilt and join the different tables. The entire tour felt as if my child didn’t pay for this tour as many activities did not include his headcount. We need to share a seat with the child for hours on the bus, asked to spilt and share a seat at the dining table. There wasn’t food served to us at all when we gave up and sat away from the main tables. The tour guide Long was kind enough to ask if we wanted to order rice, which we rejected as we didn’t want to have plain rice for lunch. Stopover for toilet breaks were too short and rushed. I wouldn’t recommend this tour unless they are able to fix these issues.
