Next, visit Qenko, Tambomachay, and Puca Pucara, each with its own significance, from sacred altars to ceremonial baths and ancient guard posts. In the afternoon, head to Ollantaytambo (2,792 m / 9,160 ft), a town where Inca traditions still thrive. The day begins early with breakfast before boarding one of the morning buses to Machu Picchu.
