ー About MARINE WORLD Uminonakamichi ー

Located in the Higashi Ward of Fukuoka City, MARINE WORLD Uminonakamichi
reopened in April 2017. With the theme of 'Kyushu's Seas,' it showcases nearly
30,000 marine creatures across approximately 350 species. The facility is
divided into 10 major zones that recreate various marine ecosystems from the
open ocean to the coastal waters of Kyushu. It is highly educational and a
great choice for family trips. In addition, the aquarium hosts daily dolphin
shows and feeding sessions in the large open ocean tank. You can also get up
close to cute sea otters—one of only four in all of Japan. This rich and
