Day 1: Berat & Gjirokastra Departure from Tirana: Begin your day with a scenic drive through the Albanian countryside to Berat, the "City of a Thousand Windows." Berat is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Albania, renowned for its Ottoman-era architecture and well-preserved historical buildings. Key Sites to Visit The Castle of Berat . Mangalem & Gorica Quarters Leaving behind the UNESCO city of Berat, drive through the heart of Albania. As we travel south, winding roads lead us toward the region of Tepelenë, Cold Water. We sit down for lunch at a local riverside restaurant. (Driving to Cold Water is 2,5 hour) DrivIing to Gjirokastra (Approx. 1 hour).

After visiting the Castle You have free time to visit the Old Bazaar and the iconic buildings located in this bazaar.
