At TIA, we believe the tea ceremony should be welcoming, easy to enjoy, and
fun—never too formal or difficult.
Our sessions are guided in English, so international guests can easily
understand and enjoy the experience.
Each session lasts just 20–30 minutes, allowing you to experience the essence
of Japanese culture without affecting your sightseeing plans.
Guests use authentic Kiyomizu-yaki tea bowls, taste premium Kyoto-grown
matcha, and enjoy traditional sweets.
You are welcome to take photos freely inside the tatami room, capturing
beautiful and traditional Kyoto memories.
Since TIA is located alongside a kimono rental shop, you can wear a kimono
before joining the tea ceremony—creating a truly unique and memorable Kyoto
experience.
Our vision is to share the beauty and joy of Japanese culture through both the
tea ceremony and traditional kimono.
Embracing the spirit of ichigo-ichie—cherishing each unique encounter—we aim
to create experiences where guests connect with Kyoto’s traditions in a warm
and welcoming way.
Wearing a kimono, preparing tea, and savoring the moment becomes a treasured
memory of your journey—and a bridge connecting people from around the world.
