On Day 1, we leave Aberdeen and head to the iconic Dunnottar and Crathes Castles before having a fascinating "up close" tour around a Highland Cow Farm. Dunnottar, one of Scotland's and the world's most spectacular ruined castles, is an ancient medieval fortress located on a rocky headland near Stonehaven. The surviving buildings date from the 13th to the 16th centuries, but were originally fortified in the early Middle Ages. You can enjoy this castle for free, but internal tours are charged.
